These totally clear, gem-quality crystals of phenakite are literally unique in the world for their species, and look more like colorless garnets than any previous find of Phenakite. I received these in a parcel of gem rough from a gemstone industry contact, maybe around 2015(?), and put a few away for the future. This is a large (relatively speaking) single crystal, a total floater, with amazing symmetries and surface patterning. One of the better examples in this size, and apparently nothing of such quality has come out in some time. 32 grams.
