There are currently 37520
searchable specimens in the database,
representing 1026 unique mineral
species, in all price and size ranges.
(3563 available; 5489 sold; 28465 archived)
The database now includes a large number of "archived" specimens,
including many sold by us prior to 2005 as well as auctioned
specimens, which are provided for reference purposes (without price
information).
Please note that, while most of the "archived specimens" have
been previously sold from the website or our auctions, many are also
currently for sale, and the easiest way to search for available specimens
is to check the box marked "available," above.
In other words, it is recommended that you
leave the "archived" checkbox in the status selector unchecked if you
are shopping for specimens, as opposed to looking for information.
The "sold" count above includes only the most recently sold
specimens (since 2006); thus we can say that iRocks.com has sold well over 30,000 specimens
online since its inception as a web-based business!
